Cagrilintide
A long-acting amylin analogue developed to complement GLP-1 weight-loss therapy.

How it works
Cagrilintide binds amylin and calcitonin receptors, slowing gastric emptying and engaging hindbrain satiety circuits via a mechanism complementary to GLP-1.
Reported benefits
- Up to 10.8% weight loss in 26 weeks as monotherapy
- Additive 17% loss when combined with semaglutide 2.4 mg (CagriSema)
- Lower nausea profile than GLP-1 alone in some protocols
Dosage & administration
Phase-2 escalated weekly from 0.3 mg to 4.5 mg.
Dosing information is summarised from published clinical and pre-clinical literature for research purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.
